When physical presence got limited owing to COVID, the business moved from physical to digital. And digital marketing as a service vertical got more and more prominence. According to Statista 2020, the digital marketing budget increased by 13% on average between 2019 and 2020. In a digital conversation with Samruddhi Thakur, Director Canada, Zetta Computech explains how her business challenges traditional marketing means and involves more and more companies to enjoy the benefits of being digital.
What is Zetta Computech all about?

We provide bespoke online solutions in Digital Marketing, Design, and Web Development to our global clients. Among our many internet marketing services and business solutions in these verticals, our Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Optimization (SMO), Pay Per Click (PPC), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Online Reputation Management (ORM), website design and development services are a few that made us famous over the years among our clients.
Over the past 15 years, we have grown significantly as a full-fledged digital marketing company operating from Canada and Mumbai, India. We now have 200+ clients across USA, UAE, Canada, Barbados, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Italy, and India.
How did you start in Canada?
I was working for Zetta Computech in India, as the Digital Marketing Team head. When I moved to Canada in October 2020, as part of our expansion plans, the company decided to start an office to serve Canadian clients better. Hence, I registered the company here in 2021 and from then on, Zetta Computech officially started in Canada.
Who are your clients typically?
Our clientele range is extensive and vivid. We serve numerous brands and companies from tourism and hospitality, construction and building developers, e-commerce websites, machinery and equipment manufacturers to safety posters designers.
COVID closed many businesses. How are you managing it in this testing time?
To be very honest, covid turned out to be a blessing in disguise for our business since the whole world is going digital. Every brand wants to make their presence online, and we are successful in tapping this market to make our clients successful and in turn, earn success for ourselves.
How does it feel to be a successful woman entrepreneur?
It’s a challenging role- to be a woman entrepreneur. Managing work-life balance while working from home is a task in itself. Breaking any stereotypes is never easy, but following an unconventional path sets your brand and name for future generations.
How big is your team?
Our Zetta Computech team is very tight-knit with website designers, web developers, SEO experts, SMO experts. Together we are 12 as a team.
Where do you see your business post COVID when distances will no longer remain a concern again?
Digital marketing doesn’t seem to get affected even post Covid as this is a booming sector. Brands have seen the power of digital marketing during these troubled times. Consumers understood the power of digital marketing too. You don’t need to be physical all the time to reach out to your brands or your consumers now. And many of us liked the approach of getting connected despite being present physically. So I don’t see a big fall post COVID.
What help do you think you would need to grow your business in this pandemic?
Being considerate towards your team members and other businesses is a big help one can offer during a pandemic. These are difficult times, but we need to hang in there. Building customer relationships should be the focus to grow and sustain during a pandemic.
Any advice/tips to the women entrepreneurs around you?
Believe in yourself before anyone else. Know Where to focus your energy and time. This is especially for mothers who are entrepreneurs too. Dedicating time to your work and children can be exhausting. Stay goal-oriented. Never fear asking for help and support from your team.
Be prepared for failures despite giving 100% commitment to your work. Knowing the target audience takes away half the hurdles, so plan accordingly. Never say no to learning a new skill. We women can and should encourage fellow women entrepreneurs, as together we can cross all limits. Being approachable is a key to many problems. Keep learning from errors in the past and take accountability of those mistakes. Set boundaries by saying NO.
Women have been pioneers in leading the change across all industries. Samruddhi is a stalwart in her field, as being an immigrant woman entrepreneur is not just a cakewalk but shattering too many glass ceilings to achieve success. Moreover, when you’re a mompreneur, the list of challenges and the success rate is indeed difficult to score, but mompreneurs like Samruddhi are an inspiration to watch and learn from.
